I visti del Pilota Rosso

[it]Anche se per me la trafila è leggermente più semplice, resta tutto tranne che simpatica…Ho ritirato giorni fa il visto russo, l’ennesimo di questi anni, senza grossi problemi. Anche quello cinese è risultato essere facile, in 48 ore ho fatto tutto. Sto aspettando l’ok per quello iraniano dall’applicazione on line che non rilascia ricevuta alcuna nè modo di controllare lo stato della pratica…ma mi hanno detto in ambasciata che in 2-3 giorni sarà pronto.

Manca quindi quello indiano, che dovrei avere in un paio di giorni, e quello per l’Azerbaijan che farà l’agenzia a Roma in circa 3 giorni.

Discorso a parte per il visto Pakistano, che tanto sta facendo impazzire Chesa.

Non ci sono problemi tecnici, se non per il fatto che ho dovuto dichiarare di arrivare in Pakistan via aerea ed alloggiare qualche giorno ad Islamabad..perchè al solo accennare l’intenzione di entrare dall’Iran….hanno cambiato davvero espressione… Le frontiere sono comunque aperte,quindi….

L’agenzia cinese mi ha fornito copia di tutte le finte prenotazioni di voli ed hotel e Lunedì dovrei ottenere il mio visto pakistano.

Ed intanto mi informo sulla situazione in Beluchistan, regione del Pakistan con intenzioni separatiste, incastrata tra Iran ed Afghanistan. E le informazioni non sono affatto buone. Tuttavia so che per il sito di riferimento del Ministero anche il Marocco è terra pericolosa, l’Egitto è sconsigliabile e Varese è da evitare…. Staremo sull’unica strada principale, magari dietro a qualche autobus…

Anche i documenti per la macchina saranno pronti in anticipo, e la simpatica impiegata mi ha pure regalato un thermos targato ACI quando ha saputo che ho già fatto il Mongol Rally, a cui vuole partecipare il prossimo anno….Affinità elettive… 😉

[en]Even if my personal fight with embassies and visas is surely much simplier than Chesa’s, it’s a hard way too. I just got my russian visa some days ago, and my chinese yesterday in only 48 hours. Still waiting to have some information from the “on line application” for the iranian one, as there is no receipt and no way to check the request status. I’ve been told, anyway, that in 2 or 3 days i will get some sort of reply. Still missing the indian one, and the azerbaijan paperwork that has to be done in Rome by an agency.

Pakistan visa is another story.

No problems in getting one turist visa, but i had to declare i will fly in to Islamabad, cause the employee face just wiped his smile off when i told him my real intentions….

I got my fake plane and hotel reservations from a chinese tourist agency here in Milan, so i will get my Visa early next week.

In the meantime i’m mining some info about the situation in Beluchistan, a region in Pakistan with separatists plan, just in the middle between Iran and Afghanistan. Everywhere it’s written not to visit that region, specially in the site “Viaggiare Sicuri” (Travel Safely) managed by the Tourism and Foreing Affairs Ministries. But…i know that the informations reported there will let you stay away from such places like Morocco or Egypt…and even from some Swiss valleys maybe…. We’ll drive only on the main road, maybe following some Police car or public transport bus…

Even the Carnet de Passage ed Douane nightmare is near to its end, and the lady giving me some updates at the ACI office (Italian Automobile Club, issuing the carnet) just put a free thermos in my pocket (it’s a gift intended for new members only..), as soon as she knew i did the Mongol Rally two years ago…and she just heard about this race…and love to partecipate… 😉
